New Features

New Control Function for NR RAT/Band lock

It is now possible to lock a TEMS Pocket device to one or multiple NR Bands.

New backpack with improved Controller/Agent solution

A brand-new backpack improving the TEMS Pocket Controller/Agent solution is introduced with TEMS Pocket

22.2. The backpack is intended for walk-testing with a larger number of devices simultaneous using a single controller device. A new add on CPU is required to ensure the USB-based communication between the controller and the agents. This solution is much more stable than the existing Bluetooth based.

The backpack can hold up to 12 TEMS Pocket devices (11 with Controller Agent CPU), fit a PCTEL scanner or an Intel NUC computer, offers device charging from hot swappable batteries, built in Wi-Fi for the controller, and fans controlling the working temperature in the backpack.

Configurations supported

With new Controller Agent CPU:

Maximum 11 Mobile Phones or 8 Phones with PCTEL IBflex or 5 Phones with PCTEL HBflex

Note, The CPU occupies one phone slot in the backpack

Note: This TEMS Pocket version is using USB bearer as default. Existing Controller/Agent users’ need to change to Bluetooth manually after updating TEMS Pocket.

5G views available on the Controller

The controller in a Controller/Agent setup can now view the 5G NR views available in the TEMS Pocket user interface. The information in the view is populated by the connected agents.

EARFCN+PCI lock now available on Samsung devices

Newer Samsung devices have been improved with EARFCN+PCI cell locking capability in TEMS Pocket. This opens for new test cases with existing devices.

Devices with improved cell lock:

·      Samsung Galaxy S-series: SM-G9XXX

·      Samsung Galaxy Note10-series: SM-N976X

·      Samsung Galaxy A90 SM-A908B

NR SS RSSI visible in the Pocket UI

Users can now see the Synchronization Signal Reference Signal Strength Indicator in the TEMS Pocket user interface.

Script triggers now support UTC time

It is now possible to choose to use UTC time stamps when creating script triggers.
